Raised with Love: How Our Puppies Grow in a Family Home, Not a Kennel

Our puppies are raised either in our home or in the loving home of one of our guardian families. No matter where a litter is born, I remain personally and closely involved throughout the process. Whenever possible, I am present for the delivery and stay with the mother and her puppies through approximately their first week of life.

Those first days are incredibly important. I’m there to support our mama, closely observe each puppy, and make sure everyone is comfortable, thriving, and receiving the individual attention they need.

As the puppies grow, they are raised as part of the family, surrounded by everyday household activity, affection, handling, and age-appropriate experiences. Our goal is to give every Agape puppy a loving, nurturing beginning that helps prepare them to become confident and well-adjusted members of their forever families.

A Clean, Comfortable Start

The journey begins in a sterilized whelping area, where cleanliness and comfort are our top priorities. This controlled space ensures our puppies are born into a safe and hygienic environment, giving them the healthiest start. We prepare for each litter with the utmost care, ensuring mom and her pups have everything they need from the very first moment.

Always Within Reach

After birth, the puppies are moved into a bedroom. This isn’t just a cozy space — it’s a crucial part of how we raise them. By sleeping in the same room, they can be monitored around the clock. Whether it’s a midnight feeding or simply a reassuring touch. This close contact helps build trust creating a strong foundation of security and comfort.

Part of the Pack — and the Family

As they grow, the puppies become part of the daily rhythm of the home. They’re raised alongside other dogs, cats and young children. This dynamic environment ensures the puppies are well-socialized and used to the sights, sounds, and activity of a busy household. They learn from their animal companions and engage playfully with kids, helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a friendly, adaptable nature.
